About us
What is Wildflower Learning Studio?
Wildflower Learning Studio was created with a simple belief: learning should be engaging, hands-on, and meaningful for every child.
We are an educational enrichment space—not a traditional school—designed to complement and support each child’s learning journey. At Wildflower, children can move beyond worksheets and passive instruction to explore, create, ask questions, and truly connect with what they’re learning.
As a Studio Director and educator, I saw the need for this kind of space—especially within our community. A place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is valued, and children are given the opportunity to build confidence through meaningful, real-world experiences.
At Wildflower Learning Studio, we offer small-group workshops, clubs, series, and curiosity-driven labs designed to meet students where they are. Whether building, experimenting, storytelling, or problem-solving, our goal is to create learning experiences that feel both purposeful and fun.
Our classes are led by dedicated Learning Facilitators who guide, support, and encourage each child’s growth. Rather than traditional instruction, our facilitators create an environment where students feel comfortable trying new things, making mistakes, and developing their own ideas.
More than anything, Wildflower Learning Studio is about community. We aim to create a space where children feel welcomed, families feel supported, and learning feels like something to look forward to. As we grow, our vision is to continue expanding opportunities for hands-on learning, connection, and real-world skill building—sharing this approach with more families in our community.
Our Team
Kirstin Wasden
Hi, I’m Kirstin, the Studio Director and founder of Wildflower Learning Studio.
My background is rooted in working with both children and animals, with a strong focus on behavior, observation, and understanding how individuals learn best. Through my experience, I’ve seen how powerful hands-on, relationship-based learning can be—especially for children who thrive outside of traditional, one-size-fits-all environments.
Wildflower Learning Studio was created from a desire to build something different: a space where children feel comfortable exploring, asking questions, and learning through doing. I believe that when kids are given the opportunity to engage with materials, ideas, and each other in meaningful ways, their confidence and curiosity naturally grow.
At the studio, I continue to teach and stay connected to our classes, while also supporting our Learning Facilitators in creating thoughtful, engaging experiences for every student who walks through our doors.

Are you passionate about working with kids and sharing something you love?
At Wildflower Learning Studio, our Learning Facilitators create hands-on, engaging experiences that spark curiosity and connection. Whether it’s science, art, storytelling, movement, life skills, or something uniquely your own—we believe meaningful learning starts with what you’re excited to share.
We’re always looking for thoughtful, creative individuals who enjoy guiding small groups of students in a supportive, exploration-based environment.
If you could teach anything—what would it be?
